5. PAVULURI MALLANA (11TH CENTURY)
Pavuluri Malana of 11th century A.D, was a mathematician -poet of repute, who wrote his magnum opus in Telugu (prosodical from) and named it Sarasangraha Ganitham which is in more than one way not mere a translation, but transcreation of Mahaveeracharya's (9th century a.d) Ganitha sangraha sara. Mallana, it seems wrote 10 chapters are available. These contain mostly arithmetic and some elementary algebra dealing with liner and quadratic equations.
